Our Mission

Love God.

Love People.

Serve the World.

Our mission begins by actively reaching out to people so that they may know the love of God in Christ Jesus. “God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8).  Everyone needs to know, that because of his magnificent sacrifice, we can be saved and have a life of purpose and hope, and one day, eternal glory.  We want them to love Him with all their hearts, souls, and minds (Matthew 22:37).

In the same way, we strive to love people.  John wrote that “. . . we should love one another,” (I John 3:11).  It sounds easy, but it is not.  We are totally reliant on God’s grace to love those whom He loves. It is a sure fire way to know if we truly understand and have ourselves entered into His love.

Our mission also includes initiating selfless, never-be-able-to-be-paid-back, bread-to-the-poor, cup-of-cold-water type of ministries, where we help those who often cannot help themselves, and say as we serve, “I do this in Jesus' name,” (Matthew 10:42James 2:26). We must go where need exists, and not wait for it to come to us.  We need to love people by bringing the gospel through word and deed, so that they will one day love him and become worshipping disciples of Christ.  We are called in scripture to be the hands and feet of our Savior.

We want to grow disciples who walk intimately with Christ, live in community with one another, and serve both the church and the world.  When we love God, we will love people, and we will want to serve them as Jesus served.  This is our mission.
